Together, we can return the magic back into childhood and make an older adult glow as bright as the Sun. There’s always someone in the community who can learn and benefit from your knowledge, skills, talents, and experience. Our powerful network of all-volunteer communities is made up of people from a wide array of backgrounds, experiences, identities, and skill sets.
Remember the old saying “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.” Can you sew a pair of pants or play an instrument? These are valuable life-skills that you can teach our students. Lending a helping hand in our Mobile Food Pantry also goes a long way. Without action there is no change. By getting involved you can make a difference and give back to your community. Volunteering is not only rewarding to you, it can save a life. Our volunteers have a variety of reasons why they contribute their time and talent to our mission. We can work with your schedule so you can make the difference in the lives of our neighbors. We have YEAR ROUND events and volunteer opportunities that need support like yours!
Volunteer Guidelines
Safety is of the utmost priority for our organization, volunteers, and the people we serve. To work directly with children and youth, volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and consent to a criminal background check. Volunteers who are between 13-17 years of age may volunteer with signed parental consent, this may not apply to street outreach or outreach center counselors (at the discretion of each program’s leadership committee).
